Basics
View conceptual movement sketch
Chaser approachRunner routeIllustrative movement paths only. This is not a game map, measured position, or timing simulation.
Hold W, tap A or D, then press Space. You keep moving toward the finish while sliding off the line the Chaser is swinging at.
- When
- Any time a Chaser closes in on open ground. This is your default dodge.
- Why it works
- The dash only goes sideways from your heading. Adding W keeps your forward progress, and Chasers who lead their swing aim at your old line.

Chaser approachRunner routeIllustrative movement paths only. This is not a game map, measured position, or timing simulation.
Keep your eyes on the Chaser's movement. If they commit right, cut left. If they expect you to keep going, stop for a beat and change angle. Leave 3–4 blocks of space when you can.
- When
- Midfield, where you have room to choose a lane.
- Why it works
- A committed Chaser cannot reverse instantly. Reacting to their commitment beats guessing ahead of time.
Mistakes that get you caught
Running in a straight line at constant speed
Mix diagonal dashes, sharp turns and Alt stops.
Expecting to stop when you let go of W
Letting go just coasts. Alt is the real stop.
Burning your dash while the Chaser is far away
Keep it for when they are in swinging range.
Detouring for Gems toward the Chaser
Only take Gems on your lane, mostly on crossing one.
Reviving into a camping Chaser
Revive only when the Chaser is far or busy.
Treating Cloak like a shield
You can still be hit. Move away while invisible.
As Chaser, chasing from directly behind
Cut the angle or hold the finish line.
As Chaser, biting on every fake
Wait for the Runner to dash first.
Equipping an item with zero charges
You start with none: buy a pack with Coins first.
Leaving the match early
Rewards are paid at the end, so stay.
Settings that help
Pick a low-ping server
Open SERVERS (top right) and join one near you. High ping gets you hit even when you dodged on your screen.
No Shift Lock here
This game has Shift Lock turned off. Advice about Left Ctrl comes from a different game with a similar name.
Look at the red ring, not around
A red indicator around your character points at nearby Chasers. Turning the camera to look slows you down.
Vote for open maps as a Runner
After each match there is a short map vote. Open maps give you room to dash sideways.
